One more ring got added to the list of celebrity engagement rings in Hollywood. This one truly is a celebrity among engagement rings that we have seen so far this year. Lala Kent got engaged with her boyfriend Randall Emmett on her birthday over a romantic vacation in Cabo San Lucas. The two were celebrating her 28th birthday when her Hollywood producer beau popped the question with a blinding sparkler. The ring is ginormous, and if you are in wonder, she said yes. The couple came back from the getaway engaged looking over the moon. So, here is the scoop about the star of the event, the ginormous shiner.
To begin with, the ring wears a 6 carat diamond, which is more than just a decent size. Emmett did not go with an off-the-rack pick for her sweetheart. He got it custom made by Hollywood’s go-to designer Richie Rich who also designed Porsha William’s 13 carat engagement ring in recent times. Aside from that, Richie Rich has designed engagement rings for many high-profile clients, Ansel Elgort and Adam Levine being two of them. Emmett knowing Rich socially was familiar with high reputation as a jeweler. So, when he decided to pop the question, he reached out to him. He went straight to his shop in NYC and, working together, they designed the ring.
Rich told the media, “When it was time to design a ring, he contacted me and flew out to New York a few times and once the ring was done, he had me deliver the ring to him in L.A.” He also added, “He wanted it plain, simple, clean and classy because that’s the type of lady that she is. He didn’t want to go overboard with side stones, he wanted it clean and simple.” Emmett spared nothing to make the ring look gorgeous. Aside the halo, the ring also featured some fairly big diamonds on the band shoulders which contribute to making the ring a complete standout.
The final design that Rich turned out the ring in is worth the bucks. The ring features a lovely round-cut diamond at the center which is wrapped around with pave diamonds, which together weigh 6 carats. The stones are framed in an 18 carat white gold. In all, the ring cost $150, 000, which is well worth it. Rich informed the tabloid that it took him 14 days to design, decorate and craft the ring in exactly the way Emmett wanted it.
Thanks to customization, you can create a ring like that at minimum expense. If you are ready to forgo the inclination for top cuts and clarity stones, then a ring like that can be had for a small expense. Talk to your local jeweler and they will guide you through the designing. As for controlling the price, pick from low clarity stones. Those available in the SI range are generally eye clean and barely colored. Those diamonds make worthy picks for engagement rings.
