We all by now know that Emma Stone is one of the very private A-listers in Hollywood who do
not let people in on her personal life. Maybe that’s the reason why the announcement of her
engagement came as such a huge surprise to her fans. Early December last year, the actress
announced on Instagram that she is now engaged to Saturday Night Live writer and director
Dave McCary.
The news of engagement came to us directly from the newly engaged lovebirds who turned to
Instagram to share the news with the fans. The couple posted an adorable selfie of the two of
them, Emma showing off a dazzling smile and a brilliant big engagement ring on her fourth
finger. The post read the twin heart emoticon. Not much needed saying after that. The news
drove the Internet wild as congratulatory messages came pouring in for the newly engaged
couple.
Emma’s sparkly engagement ring drew a lot of attention, and for good reason. Her fiancé
McCary took a pretty untraditional route in choosing the ring. Unlike most engagement rings in
the recent times that sport rock-size gems at the center, Emma’s pretty sparkler features a
dainty pearl. It takes just one look to tell that her ring is a truly special and unique piece of
jewelry.
Proving his good taste in jewelry, McCary chose to decorate the engagement ring with a
colossal and radiant pearl at the center. The ring, a pick from Kataoka, a Tokyo-based designer’s
collection is a slight and elegant piece. The cherry on top is the dainty pearl that is a pleasant
surprise in place of a predictable diamond. However, McCary hasn’t skimped on diamonds
because the ring consists of multiple of them.
Surrounding the delicate 8mm pearl are several tiny diamonds that dial up the sparkle of the
ring. The engagement ring is curved in 18K gold, but is neither bling, nor silver in color. The
band is beige, which is another interesting diversion from the typical bands.
Emma’s engagement ring, like her low-key romance was a delightful surprise for her fans. The
ring, in all its uniqueness is a showstopper. We are keeping our fingers crossed until similar
looking pieces arrive at the stores.
