The year 2020 hasn’t exactly been spectacular so far, but it wasn’t all bad from the beginning. Some
stunning celebrity engagements go on to show that 2020 began with as much hopes and dreams as any
new year. The year came in glad tidings for the Hollywood’s sweethearts Anna Faris and Michael Barret.
After the actress was spotted in public with her 7-year-old son from her first marriage with Chris Pratt
who famously married Katherine Schwarzenegger mid last year, wearing a chunky diamond ring,
speculations started to grow in the media. This was in November last year.
Early this year, the actress’s co-star from Mom’s, Allison Janney came forward and officially confirmed
Anna’s engagement to her now fiancé Michael Barret. In addition to the confirmed engagement, Janney
also revealed that Faris and Barret have been engaged a long time.
It was in February this year that James Corden, the host of the Late Late Show succeeded in getting
some juicy details about her supposedly hush-hush engagement. Silent for months, Anna finally
confirmed that the incredible ring on her finger is actually her engagement ring.
Now what about the bling, Faris’s engagement ring was unconventional to say the least. While it did
establish her untraditional sense of style, it also set a new trend in the engagement ring arena. Michael
proposed with a superbly stylish halo engagement ring which was nothing typical of celebs’ taste these
days, but a halo yellow center stone ring.
Dazzling and exquisite, the sparkler is estimated to be worth somewhere between a whopping $75, 000
and $100, 000. As more pictures started to emerge, celebrated jewelers of New York and LA started to
take their best guesses at the estimated value of the stone.
The CEO of Rare Carats said that the yellow stone on Faris’s engagement ring seem to have come from
the intense fancy yellow section which is generally the much more expensive end of the gallery. He
estimated the stone alone to be $20, 000.
