Jenna Dewan and Steve Kazee are expecting a baby soon, but that’s not the only news about this handsome couple of tinsel town. The two are also now engaged. Jenna announced the engagement officially on Instagram wearing an engagement ring featuring what looks like a ginormous diamond. More on that ahead.
Kazee, 44 and Dewan 39 are about to have a pretty phenomenal year. Although this is not the best year for many, 2020 is shaping up pretty well for these two. The host of Flirty Dancing proposed the to-be-mother of his child with a spectacular ring on her baby shower. A perfect pick of occasion, Kazee made the proposal complete with a jaw dropping ring, which he says is "as beautiful as she is."
A diamond solitaire engagement ring featuring a bedazzling diamond, the ring was designed by none other than Nikki Reed’s jewelry company. Reed who happens to be a pal of the couple undertook the project. The store BaYou With Love shared a first few glimpses of the ring on Instagram. It wowed the followers instantly. Kazee also shared a little of the designing process on his social media which sent their fans on a frenzy.
Reed’s brand makes sustainable jewelry and Kazee turned to her for help when he decided to pop the big question. He knew he wanted something exclusive because he was looking for something to represent Jenna. He said, “It had to be as beautiful as her”.
A solitaire, the ring features an enormous oval-cut diamond on a skinny but gorgeous bling band. The ring is mounted on a prong style setting that makes itself invisible letting the diamond steal the show. The diamond which looks to be at least 5 carats is full of fire and brilliance. The cut which seems pretty spot-on maximizes the sparkle of the stone.
While the ring is extremely special, it also has a very special meaning as Kazee explains later. “The solitaire is representative of our oneness in the universe surrounded by stars. The diamonds laid into the band are representative of the Pleiades constellation which holds special meaning for Jenna and I,” he said.
A lot of jewelers have already made guestimates of the worth of the diamond. The closest one comes from Ira Weissman from The Diamond Pro. According to Weissman, the diamond is between 4 to 5 carats and should be around $150,000 to $200,000. Whopping!
