It’s no news that singer Gwen Stefani has been seeing rocker Blake Shelton. The two A-listers of the music industry have been together some 5 years now. So, it was about time that the two shared the big news, and that’s exactly what happened. Just a couple days back, the rocker and the country superstar made a happy announcement on Instagram. The two are now engaged!
The post is a photograph of the two-lip locked, Stefani sticking out her hand at the camera, a gorgeous diamond ring on her fourth finger in full display. The caption under the photo was short and sweet- “yes please!”
Shelton, 51 picked a diamond ring to propose which is now the talk of the town. Custom designed, the bling is colossal and incredible looking. From the details that came to surface, it appears that the rocker spared no expense at all in making her the most special ring possible.
The SVP of Brilliant Earth took a shot at guesstimating the specification of the ring by looking at the pictures available on the Internet. According to Katherine Money, the ring is a solitaire displaying a 6 to 9 carat diamond. The stone is mounted on a minimalistic and dainty six prong setting. The ring is a white gold or platinum feature.
As those details were uncovered, a collective clamor surrounding the price erupted. There is no way of knowing for sure how much the ring costed Shelton, but again estimates made by experts indicate a sum upwards of $500, 000. While that’s the standard guess, some experts suggested that the ring could be well over the said worth.
Up close, Stefani’s ring appears to feature a round or oval-cut diamond. The ring in the photos appear to be a solitaire, but it could easily be a simple pave band from the looks of it. Katie Zimmerman of Blue Nile said that seeing that the stone itself makes it to the middle knuckle of its wearer, the stone could be in the carat range of 8 and 10.
As for the value, a stone that size, coupled with the band metal and custom-building costs would be no less than $700, 000. Although that can vary depending on the color and clarity of the stone which are unclear in the pictures, as it stands, such is the estimated price of the ring.
