This year on her 40th birthday, Paris Hilton had more than just one thing to celebrate. Her boyfriend Carter Reum made her birthday extra special by proposing to her on one knee with a one-of-a-kind sparkler just before her big day.
Paris Hilton has been on the news many times before for her star-studded engagements and her stunning blings. Sadly, none of those engagements lasted but her engagement rings remained to be the biggest most enviable style accessories of all time. This time too, her engagement news made a huge splash with the tabloids, and the sparkler in question stole a lion’s share of the furor.
Ruem, and Hilton were having some relaxing days at a private island in the days leading up to her 40th birthday where the entrepreneur popped the big question with a very special piece of bling. What’s more, Ruem chose the Valentin’s Day to make the proposal and the answer was just as he had hoped for, a big and echoing “yes”.
The heiress and the liquor baron had been dating for a year and the couple’s romance has been on the news headlines for quite some time now.
Now, the bling, it’s a festive accessory not only to the elegant haute couture white gown which Hilton was donned at the time, but to pretty much anything imaginable. The mega-carat ring features a blinding and colossal emerald carat diamond on a skinny band. The center diamond is flanked by twin trapezoid stones on either sides with 50 tiny diamonds intricately paving the band. Jewelers who took a shot at estimating the size of the shining stone agreed at around 15 and 20 carats.
Designed by none other than Hollywood’s favorite Jean Dousset from the family line of Louis Cartier, the ring is a stunner at first sight.
To satiate the eruption of curiosity around the ring emerging from her fans, Hilton very soon shared a video of the ring’s designing on YouTube which offers more than a sneak peek at the customization process of the gorgeous bling, sketches and everything.
