My name is Brad. I am the director of a small mortgage company in Cleveland, Ohio. February 17th, 2005 was not only my 29th birthday, it was the day I proposed to the love of my life, Amy.
When Amy and I discussed the type of diamond she wanted, the only thing she wished for was an emerald cut diamond. She did not care about carat, clarity or color. She just wanted an emerald cut diamond from me. If you know anything about diamonds, emerald cuts are unique. They are very simple. They do not "sparkle" very much and you can see right through them. In order to get the 4 "C's" I wanted, I was going to have to spend a lot of money.
When I started doing research, I went to local jewelers. What they had to offer were very small diamonds that cost a lot of money. After the frustration of going to local jewelers, I ended up going online. Even then, to get the ring I wanted, I was going to have to pay ~$15,000.00. Talk about being depressed. All I wanted to do was get Amy the ring she has always dreamed of. For some reason, I am not sure how, I came across diamonds-USA. There website was very easy to use. After I designed the ring I wanted, it calculated the price. For the band, side diamonds and center stone, the price was $3000 - $6000 less than all other stores. I was so skeptical. "How could this place sell their rings so much cheaper?"
The answer is in their process. They go straight to the source and they have the diamonds shipped directly to you, the consumer. I was so nervous when I went to pick up the ring. "What if there is nothing in the package?" "What if it is not the ring I ordered?" What if it is not a real diamond?"
After I picked up the ring, I took it to my mother's house. Her first words were, "Oh my God, it is beautiful."
At our engagement party, Amy's aunts could not stop talking about how "gorgeous" the ring was.
....Imagine paying half of what you budgeted...and receiving double the product/quality...That is what Diamonds-USA represents.
