Like most guys, when it came time to invest in a diamond engagement ring, I needed to become an instant expert. After all, how many guys can really see the value in a diamond that costs the same as a small car?
I needed to make sure that I was getting what I paid for and not paying too much. I did the usual trudging through jewellery stores, then in the back offices of Sydney diamond traders, with over anxious salespeople telling me what to buy.
It was becoming quite stressful, which is disappointing as it should be an exciting and fun transaction. Then I found Diamonds-USA.com.
I have purchased lots of items on the web, but never thought that I would be buying a diamond engagement ring. However, the website was easy to understand and made choosing a diamond and ring setting a pleasure.
Still, like any transaction of this size, I was extremely wary of sending such a large amount of money to someone who I could not see or visit if something went wrong.
I made contact with about 8 or 9 of the people who had previously sent customer feedback....it was all overwhelmingly positive. I checked with people who rated Diamonds-USA on Bizrate, and the same thing...everyone who had dealt with this organisation was extremely pleased.
So, after weeks of checking Sydney prices, doing research and finally deciding on a diamond setting, I called and spoke with David Braverman. A nicer guy you couldn't find anywhere. David was patient, courteous, extremely knowledgable and put my mind at ease. He explained to me the various attributes of the stones I was interested in and, to my surprise, actually did not recommend the most expensive one. He did recommend the right one, however, and I am extremely happy with my selection (and his!)
A very short time later, the ring arrived and I was astounded. It was everything which I had hoped for (and more). The setting came complete with a full EGL certificate, which put my mind at ease. Still, after David's recommendation, I had the ring independently appraised by a diamond valuer. He valued the ring at almost three times what I had paid, which is great news. Even he was amazed at the price that I had bought the ring for.
So, to any prospective clients, I have nothing but praise for Diamonds-USA and David Braverman. They exceeded my expectations in every way, right down to the follow up calls and e-mails. I have since recommended this organisation to all my friends.
