When it comes to shopping, I like many people prefer to do it on the internet rather than paying high street prices. However when I decided that I would propose to my partner I thought there was no way I was going to look for a ring on the internet. Fine if you want to buy a CD or toaster because you know what you're getting, a diamond is something different.
I started my search on the net learning which qualities I need to look for in a diamond and was confident I would find the perfect ring with my new found knowledge of the 4 C's. However the very first shop I went into and asked the assistant what cut, clarity and colour the diamond was, I was given the response ' Its over 1 carat' This of course I already new because that's all they tell you in the ticket and this ring was priced at nearly ??£5,000. After digging deeper she found the report out and to my disbelief it was good cut, SI2 clarity and H colour. Now this in itself is not a bad diamond but for the price tag? I think not!
I went to a few more shops with no avail and gave up.
So I gave the internet a go and came across Diamonds-USA.com. I had looked at many sites but after reading the testimonials I was confident in using them (although still a little nervous) I found my perfect diamond in no time and choose the setting. I then spoke to a very helpful lady named Lia as I wanted white gold prongs to hold the diamond as I had chosen a yellow gold ring. She was very helpful and told me that would not be a problem. After peaking with her my mind was at ease and just over a week later the ring was delivered to me. I opened the box and the ring took my breath away. I am sure it will take my partners away also.
I would just like to say to anyone reading this. Do not pay high street prices for a lesser standard diamond. Give these people a ring and have a chat. They will put your mind at ease plus if you are not happy with your purchase you can return it within 10 days for a refund. You have got nothing to loose.
Just to let you know I got a 1.05 carat, Ideal Cut, D colour (the best to can get) and a clarity of VS1 diamond for ??£3,000. It has been valued at closer to ??£6,000!!
